On Saturday, March 27, Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area held a Service Excellence Awards Party to celebrate and acknowledge those employees who have demonstrated Service Excellence. Chief Executive Officer Mike Lawson welcomed the over 100 employees, physicians and family members who joined together for this joyous event. Ms. A, a former patient, was in attendance and spoke about how she received such wonderful care at our facility and praised the staff who helped her daily to overcome her illness. She was "honored" to be asked to address the employees and physicians and she did so with ease. She especially thanked Rehabilitative Aide Jeremy Thomas, who she remembered as one who helped her push through some hard times. Chief Clinical Officer Mary Schwind thanked everyone for coming and introduced the new Service Excellence pillars: Fun, Respect and Integrity. Sean McCarthy, Executive Director of Northwest District was in attendance to lend his support to the employees of Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area in their journey to achieve Service Excellence.
